Sing a Song
Traffic Light Song
Tune: The People on the Bus
What do you do when the light turns red?
The light turns red,
the light turns red?
What do you do when the light turns red?
Red means you stop.
What do you do when the light turns yellow?
The light turns yellow,
the light turns yellow?
What do you do when the light turns yellow?
Yellow means you look.
What do you do when the light turns green?
The light turns green, the light turns green?
What do you do when the light turns green?
Green means you go slow.
Watch
Red says STOP! The Kiboomers!
Try This
Today's colors are the colors of the traffic lights: red, yellow and green! Talk about what the colors mean and how they guide you to cross the street safely. Play "Red Light, Green Light."
Make your own traffic light by gluing red, yellow, and green circles to a large piece of black construction paper. You can even make edible traffic lights using a graham cracker and red, yellow, and green candies. “Glue” the candy on with frosting!
